Naira Marley has carved a niche for himself in the indigenous (Yoruba) rap music scene of Nigeria and is considered one of the country’s pioneers of indigenous trap music.

Naira Marley Early Life & Education
Naira Marley was born to the Muslim household of Mr. and Mrs. Fashola in Agege, a suburb of Lagos State, where he was raised alongside his siblings Shuddy Funds and Shubomi Fashola, He is the first child of his parents.
Naira Marley migrated to the United Kingdom, at the age of eleven where he resumed his studies. He resided in Peckham, South London, England.
He would spend his teenage years and early twenties living in the country before moving back to Nigeria to pursue his music career.
Naira Marley completed his creché and primary school education at a top private elementary school in Agege.
He was educated at Peckham Academy, graduating with a distinction in Business.

Naira Marley recorded and released his debut EP titled Gotta Dance in 2015. Before then, he had dropped his debut single, Marry Juana, featuring Max Twigz.
Naira Marley achieved the success that he had been dreaming of. The success came after he dropped Issa Goal, featuring Olamide and Lil Kesh. Released in December 2017, Issa Goal became the choice street pop song in the country, receiving massive airplay on radio stations and the speakers of clubs across the country. Issa Goal was used by the Super Eagles as their theme song at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Naira Marley won the coveted Viewers Choice Award at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards with his hit song “Soapy”.
