    Oluwafisayo Isa (born September 19, 2001) is a Nigerian-born British musician who is setting trends with hit records. She is known in the industry by the moniker, Darkoo.

    She is a rapper, singer, and songwriter specializing in the Drill subgenre. She rose to fame after the release of Gangsta, a single that secured her nominations at awards shows.

    Gangsta peaked at number 22 on the Official Singles Chart and number 1 on the UK Afrobeats Chart 2020.

    Considered to be Afrobeats’ Next Superstar, Darkoo released Always, featuring Black Sherif. The single has amassed millions of streams and has over 3.1 million views on YouTube.

    Darkoo Early Life & Education

    Darkoo was on the 19th of September 2001 in the city of Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. she was born into a Nigerian household. She is Yoruba by tribe and hails from South West parts of Nigeria.

    She spent a part of her formative years living with her parents in their apartment in Yaba. In 2008, Darkoo and her family emigrated to the United Kingdom, searching for greener pastures. She was seven years old at the time.

    Darkoo Career

    Darkoo began music when she was still in high school. Influenced by the UK Drill and Grime scene, she started to compose freestyle rap songs. By fifteen, she was already recording and releasing Drill songs.

    She listened to songs by upcoming and prominent artists in the UK rap industry and spent hours practicing freestyle songs to hone her craft. In a matter of time, she became a notable face in the underground rap music scene and often performed at shows and events in London.

    In 2021, she lent her vocals to the remix of Body by Russ Millions and Tion Wayne. The song, which was released in April, got to the number one position on the Official Singles Chart.

    In July 2021, Darkoo dropped her highly anticipated debut EP titled 2 in 1. The project features collaborations from Tion Wayne and Unknown T.

    In February 2022, she took the Afrobeats and UK music industries by storm with the rap song, Always. She featured Ghanaian rapper, Black Sherif on the single.

    Since Darkoo started making music professionally, she has worked with a host of artists such as Curtis JMulla StackzShadzBr3nya4KuesBlancoBuju BNXN, TSB, Mayorkun, and many others.
