Early Life & Education
Obey was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Alpha on 5th May 1995. He comes from a Christian background and grew up in the Gwagwalada part of Abuja, Nigeria.
He is from North Central Nigeria and hails from Kaduna State. Living in Lagos exposed Simon to rich music culture and he soon developed a soft spot for art.
His career as a Disc Jockey (DJ) started at the early age of 16, from his high school days. As he would act as the DJ at school parties, neighborhood parties, and carnivals. It was around this time, he came up with the stage name Cool DJ Obey.
Obey attended his primary school education at Secret Heart primary school in Gwagwalada and secured his West African Examination certificate at G.S.S secondary school Gwagwalada, Abuja, Nigeria. He is currently a student at the Lagos state university.
