Early Life & Education
Dax was born Daniel Nwosu Jr. on March 22, 1994, in St. John’s, to Nigerian parents from the Igbo tribe.
He was raised in Ottawa before they moved to Wichita where he had his university.
He later moved to Los Angeles, California. He went to Newman University, where he played guard for the Newman Jets basketball team.
Career
Dax was a motivational speaker and wrote poetry before he began to chase music. He also worked as a janitor during his time at Newman University.
Dax who had to put words together began releasing songs through SoundCloud. He became prominent for the official music video of his song “Cash Me Outside” alongside Danielle Brogolli.
He also became known for his series of freestyle and remixes to popular tap songs.
He came through with his first EP “Its Different Now” in August 2018. The EP features the likes of OT Genasis and Futuristic. He released his second EP “I’ll say it for you” in 2020. The EP comprises 7 tracks including the controversial single “Dear God” and released a sequel to that called “Child of God” in July 2021.
