    AKA was born on January 28, 1988, in Cape town South Africa, where he was raised.

    He had his elementary school education at Greenside primary school in Randburg while his secondary education was at St John’s College. He also studied Engineering courses after completing his matriculation education.

    Career


    AKA began his career for the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, and many others in their South African tours.

    He ventured into a solo career with hits like “Mistake”, “In My Walk” and so on, and he has won several awards including Metro FM Music Awards and Best Hip Hop for his debut Altar Ego.

    His second album, Levels was certified Gold in 2015 by the recording industry of South Africa and was certified Platinum in 2016.

    The Hip hop force which is also known as Supa Mega and Duro is considered one of the most sought-after and influential rappers in South Africa and also across the African continent.

    His production credits include tracks by PRO, Andile, Shugasmakx, Jae, Teargas, and many others.
