    She became prominent for her talk show Inside Out with Agatha. She is also known as the MD/CEO at RaveTV channel, and trend100.9 FM. She was given the recognition award for Women in Journalism Africa 2016.

    Early Life & Education


    Agatha Amata was born Agatha Nwakalor on November 4, 1969, in Lagos State the southwestern part of Nigeria.

    She was born into civil servant parents as her father was a chief inspector at Federal inland Revenue while her mother was a teacher.

    She was raised alongside her seven siblings by their mother after the death of her father when she was just 2 years old.

    Her mother, singlehandedly trained her and six other siblings at the University level.

    Agatha originated hails from Isoko North in Delta State, the south southern part of Nigeria.

    She is a Delta Igbo by the tribe.

    She had her elementary school education at Saint Mary private school, Ajala, Lagos, and her secondary school education at Federal Government Girls College, Sagamu.

    She graduated from the University of Jos with a degree in Botany. However, upon her graduation, she decided to pursue her passion for the English language and film production.

    Career


    Agatha Amata became known as the host of Inside Out With Agatha, a talk show which focuses on the issue that affects society. She hosted the talk show for 20 years.

    She became the managing director of Inside-Out Media consultancy and production firm based in Lagos Nigeria, which also brought about Rave TV as established on August 8, 2014.

    Rave TV is a television platform transmitting on GOTV (CH113) and Startimes (CH125).

    She is also the CEO of Trend FM 100.9, a radio station based in Asaba, Delta State. She is the founder of Inside Out With Agatha Foundation (IOWA), a Non-governmental organization.

    As a motivational speaker, she has spoken at both national and international platforms which include the Women in Journalism Conference, the Rotary Club, and also a Youth Empowerment Conference.
