    Apple to increase battery replacement cost for iPhones, Macs from March 1st

    Apple has declared that it will be raising the cost of out-of-warranty batteries for it products. Users will have to pay more if they need to replace the batteries in their iPhones, Macs or iPad.

    For all the three products, namely smartphones, tablets, and PCs, the cost of replacing the battery will be $20.

    The new prices will be effective as of March 1, 2023. Therefore, if you have any Apple products with declining battery life, this is the perfect moment to have them replaced.

    The current price of a new battery for iPhone 14 series is currently $99. There is no increase in pricing.

    According to Verge, “For the models older than the iPhone 14, replacement batteries for the products that come with a home button and those that require face IDs will also have different price increments.

    What this means is the replacement batteries for this category of phones will be going from $49 to $69 for iPhones with a home button and, for face ID phones, the price will be going from $69 to $89.

    Alongside iPhones, the battery replacement costs for MacBooks also get expensive. the current price for the MacBook Air models cost $129 and it will be increase by $30.”
