Kanayo O. Kanayo reveals reason for not celebrating his 61st birthday

    Published By:

Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo who turned a year older today March 1st, 2023 has revealed reasons why his not excited about it.

Taking to his Instagram page the 61-year-old expressed his displeasure with the election results, adding that he would not celebrate his birthday because the Independent National Election Commission sold shame in the market.

Kanayo O. Kanayo said: “i am not celebrating my birthday today because INEC sold SHAME in the market. God bless you my fans and well wishers for your support and prayers.”

Wakadaily reports that INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, on Wednesday declared the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as the president-elect.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the president-elect after the 70-year-old polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.

Kanayo earlier said Yakubu must be held responsible for BVAS failure.

In a viral video circulating on social media the actor said: “We must hold accountable the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu for promising to transmit results from the polling booth, so we need to ask him at what point did he change his mind and compromised.

It’s not about Peter Obi or any candidate winning but doing the right thing. INEC do not allow Nigerians to engulf themselves by doing the right thing. INEC chairman and Commissioners have compromised; they sold shame to me in the marketplace, you deceived us.

“They sold the election to the highest bidder so that those who lost would go to court and start another process and today, I declare that anybody with that rag of Professorship has lost respect because they now come together, despite being the country’s best brains, are gathering to mess up the giant of Africa. We must not let this happen,” he added.
