Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo reveals she doesn’t like granting interviews because her words are always taking out of context.
She revealed this during her interview on Toke Makinwa’s recent podcast episode.
The actress stated that she likes everything that is out in the public about her should be posted by herself on her Instagram or other social media platforms.
The beautiful mother of two who is currently dating popular show promoter Paul O went on to give instances where her words were taking out of context and how it affected her.
“I have turned down so many, for me my controversies started when I granted a lot of interviews back then and a lot of things were taken out of context and it kind of affected how I feel. So because of that I just don’t like to grant interviews. A lot of times you say one thing and the blogs are putting out another thing and you’re like ‘That’s not what I meant’, but how many people do you want to start explaining yourself to?”
Iyabo also elaborate on the reasons why she likes telling her stories herself, she said she doesn’t like how blogs always twist stories in other to suit their narratives.
“I like to tell my stories myself and I tell them how I want them and you pick it from my page or how I’ve been able to tell my story. Then I know it’s coming from me. The blogs mislead the people and that just discouraged me, like I can’t be doing this,” She said.
The super-talented actress also added that her busy schedule is also one of the reasons she doesn’t grant interviews because she is always booked and busy.
