Deyemi Okanlawon, a Nigerian actor, recently made a post on social media that addressed domestic violence in a humorous and cheeky manner.
It sounds like the lady’s post was sharing her experience of a violent altercation with her husband, where both parties were injured.
The woman had shared that she insulted her husband’s mother during an argument, which led to him slapping her.And also led to retaliation and revenge, with each side seeking to harm the other. The woman showed her swollen face to her brothers, who then went on to assault her husband, and then her husband retaliating by throwing her belongings out on the street.
Deyemi Okanlawon, the movie star, stated that , it was important for her to prioritize her safety and well-being by leaving the situation and seeking support. Returning to the husband’s house and involving her brothers led to further violence and escalation. Okanlawon’s message encourages women to prioritize their safety and seek help, which is crucial.
Recall that Deyemi Okanlawon,had taken his wife, Damilola, to Paris to fulfill his promise of a honeymoon six years after their marriage. The couple got married in January 2013 and have two children together. Deyemi revealed that he finally had enough money to take Damilola on the trip after six years and two kids.
