Nollywood Star Funke Akindele has been awarded the Best Dressed Female at the movie premiere of her colleague Odunlade Adekola.

The premiere, which took place on June 16th, was attended by many celebrities including Iyabo Ojo, Kolawole Ajeyemi, and Denrele Edun.

Funke Akindele and Denrele Edun were crowned the Best Dressed Female and Male respectively, and were rewarded with a brand new refrigerator.

In response to this, numerous individuals pointed out that if crossdresser Bobrisky had been present, he would have easily won the title of Best Dressed Female.

Funke Akindele has had a successful year, breaking records in African Cinema by becoming the first Nigerian filmmaker to earn over a billion at the box office with her movie “A Tr!be Called Judah,” which grossed over N1.4 billion.

As a result, she received a new car and the Silverbird Lifetime Achievement Award, which she dedicated to her fans and loved ones.

During singer Dbanj’s anniversary dinner, Akindele shared how he played a role in encouraging her to continue with her popular Jenifa brand.

He recognized the brand’s profitability and advised her to continue exploiting it. To show his support, he even gave her money to work on more sequences, leading to the Return of Jenifa.

In an Instagram post, Akindele also addressed her critics and discussed her journey as an underdog in the movie industry. She emphasized her determination to push the boundaries in Nigerian cinema.
