Graduate of York University commits suicide in Lagos 

A graduate of Business Administration from York University in Canada, identified as Chinonso Anene, has allegedly committed suicide in Lagos.

According to Vanguard, the 23-year-old graduate locked himself inside his apartment at House 9, Emmanuel Court, Olusegun Aina Street, Parkview Estate Ikoyi and shoot himself with a firearm. By the time police officers broke the door of his apartment, his lifeless body was found inside the wardrobe.

The Lagos State police command, SP Benjamin Huydeyin, who confirmed the incident said, the DPO Ikoyi Division received a distress call from the Chief Security Officer of Parkview Estate, Mr Daramola, that Chinonso Anene has committed suicide.

“Based on the report, a team of detectives visited and photographed the scene, the door was forced open and one expended cartridge was recovered.

“The remains of the deceased have been deposited at Lagos Island morgue for autopsy while an investigation is ongoing,” he said.
