American actress Nia Long files for full custody of her son with ex-partner, Ime with the claims that he doesn’t pay child support.
The couple ended their 13years long relationship in December, 2022.
They had a son together, Kez Sunday Udoka, and Nia Long want the boy all to herself with the claim that Ime has failed to support her according to reports by ‘Entertainment tonight’.
The actress filed for legal and physical custody of their 10-year-old son.
Based on the legal paperwork received, Nia has requested that Ime “have reasonable visitation that is consistent with the benefit of the child”.
It also stated that the request was submitted to the Los Angeles county Superior Court, but has not been granted.
The couple ended their 13years long relationship over cheating on the part of Ime Udoka in 2022, they had been engaged since 2015 but parted ways after news made it to the public that the Boston Celtics Coach had an affair with staff member.
Ime did not only loss his relationship as a result of this news but was suspended from coaching as the affair with a staff member was violation of their rules.
The duo had started dating in 2010, shortly after meeting and welcomed their son the following year.
Though they got engaged in 2015, they never got married because Nai Long doesn’t believe in the need of a ceremony to prove that she loves her partner.
In her words, “But also, what does marriage really mean… that you own me now and I own you?” she added. “I don’t get that part.”
Since news of their separation broke out, Nia has requested for privacy as she focuses on raising her children, Kez from Ime Udoka and Massai Zhivago Dorsey II from her past relationship.
