Early Life & Education

Ifeanyi Kalu was born on February 13, 1988, in Surulere, Lagos State part of Nigeria to parents Mr & Mrs. Emmanuel Gilbert Kalu. He is originally from Imo State, the eastern part of Nigeria, and he is from the Igbo tribe.

He is the last child and only son in a family of five children. He has four siblings, 4 sisters to be precise.

He obtained a degree in Computer Science at the Lagos State University and also studied fashion design at the Zaris Fashion and Style Academy.

He also holds a Java and Oracle qualification from the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT).

     Career

Kalu started off as a model and he appeared in various commercials. He delved into acting and came into the Nigerian movie scene with the role of Usen in the film, Kokomma.

He came to prominence in 2014 for his role in the movie “Lagos Cougars” and also got more exposure in the movie “Perfect Union”.

Ever since he rose to fame, Kalu has starred in numerous movies and television series alike which include; Almost a Virgin, 3 is a crowd, will you marry me, Head Over Heels, and so on.

He has acted alongside top actors such as; Lota Chukwu, Wole Ojo, Belinda Effah, Kiki omeili, Linda Ejiofor, Mary Lazarus, Nazo Ekezie, Bayray Mcnwizu, Stella Udeze, and many others. Aside from acting, he launched a fashion clothing line called the “Ifeanyi Kalu” fashion brand in 2019.
