Phyna recounts ordeal as shs speaks on the Phoenix tattoo on her back, days after dropping family’s surname

Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Ijeoma Otabor, better known as Phyna, has spoken out on the Phoenix tattoo on her back.

Taking to her Instagram page to share a video of the tattoo, she revealed that the tattoo isn’t just ink, but a testament to her journey. According to her, it symbolizes the resilience, strength, and transformation, the fire she walked through, and the wings she earned. She noted how life tried to break her, but like a Phoenix, she chose to ride, to rebuild, and to soar higher than before.

Phyna added that the tattoo is more than art; it’s a past of her, a tribute to her part, a celebration of her present, and a reminder of the infinite potential of her future.

This phoenix on my back isn’t just ink; it’s a testament to my journey. It symbolizes resilience, strength, and transformation—the fire I walked through and the wings I earned. Life tried to break me, but like the phoenix, I chose to rise, rebuild, and soar higher than before.

Every flame, every feather, every stroke of this design tells a story of rebirth, reminding me that no matter how many times I fall, I can always rise again—stronger, wiser, and more powerful.

This tattoo is more than art; it’s a part of me. A tribute to my past, a celebration of my present, and a reminder of the infinite potential of my future.

I am my own phoenix.”
