Social media users are divided over the victory of former Big Brother Naija contestant Venita Akpofure in the Best Female Dressed category at the recently concluded AMVCA Cultural Day.
The event, which marked the 10th edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, began with a Cultural Day event on Friday.
Attendees at the event showcased their beautiful traditional attire, with notable appearances from BBNaija’s Neo and Venita, Tacha, Liquorose, OAP Do2dtun, Kunle Remi, Iyabo Ojo, and others.
After a tough competition, Venita and her cousin Neo Akpofure emerged as the winners in their respective categories.
While Neo won Best Male Dressed, Venita took home the award for Best Dressed Female.
This is the second consecutive year that Venita has won this category, although some social media users expressed their disagreement, arguing that Liquorose was better dressed.

Nigerian celebrity stylist and designer Toyin Lawani recently slammed the AMVCA for not having a theme for their event each year.
She questioned why people should adhere to a dress code when there is no specified theme.
In other news, veteran icon Idowu Philips, better known as Mama Rainbow, received a new title at the AMVCA Night of Icons.
Mama Rainbow expressed gratitude for her fame since 1942 and proudly shared clips from the event on Instagram.
She was given the title “mother of artists,” which she included in her caption.
