Popular Nigerian hip-hop rapper and singer, Ice Prince has been arrested by the Lagos State police command, for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Wakadaily reports that the 35-year-old singer was arrested at about 3a.m on Friday for driving without a license plate, but the popular Oleku crooner allegedly abducted the police officer in his car and assaulted him also threatened to throw the officer in a river.
Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin, via his Twitter page said Ice Prince has been arrested and would be arraigned in court today, (Friday).
The tweet read, “At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.
“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
