One of the wives of the deceased Alaafin of Oyo, Queen Memunat Omowunmi Adeyemi, commemorated her late husband, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, two years after his passing.
Queen Omoh expressed her deep emotions and grief about her husband’s death on social media. She expressed that life has been unjust to her by taking her husband away, as it still feels like they met just yesterday.
The queen also prayed for forgiveness for her husband’s flaws and asked for an increase in his blessings from the Lord.
“Life is somehow unfair. It seems like we met yesterday, but now You are on the other side, As long as we live your love will forever be in our heart, you were a fantastic gift to Us all we can not express the void we feel every day.
Beseeching Almighty Allah to overlook your shortcomings and increase His (نعمته)on you….. keep on resting IKU BABAYEYE ATANDA OMO IBIRONKE, in between I’m nurturing your ADEGOKE, ADETOUN and ADEDAYO as I can may Allah make them global leaders to spread your name across the whole universe.”
same way, Queen Memunat observed the first anniversary of the late Alaafin’s passing.
She expressed her appreciation to the deceased king for elevating her status and making her a respected individual among her peers.
The queen expressed her sadness over his absence, acknowledging that she can never physically interact with or see him, but he remains in her heart and she appreciates his presence in her life.
Memunat commended him for positively impacting people’s lives during his time on earth and prayed for his soul.
Dami, the youngest wife of the king, wrote a heartfelt tribute to honor his passing.
She posted pictures on Instagram, reminiscing about the cherished moments she had with the late king and their son.
Alongside the photos, she shared an emotional tribute, recounting the message she received from the late Alaafin of Oyo.
