2Face Idibia gets emotional while speaking about late friend, Sound Sultan

Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia aka Tuface or 2Face gets emotional while speaking about his late friend, Sound Sultan.

Speaking with Adesola on Afrobeat podcast, the singer was lost of words to describe his late bossom friend.

The duo had been friends for over 20 years before the passing of Sound Sultan.

When asked how he described the late Sound Sultan, 2baba replied that he was the nicest person he has met on earth.

In his words, “Sultan, I don’t know…he was one of the ‘goodest’, if I can use that word. he was one of the ‘goodest’ people you can ever come across.”

When the singer was asked how the death of his friend affected, he was silent for a second as the question got him emotional.

When he found his words, noted that it took him time to come to terms and accept the fact that his friend was gone, he also disclosed that he thought it was a joke, he also stated that Sound Sultan had a late cancer diagnosis because he was initially diagnosed with malaria after running series of tests in Nigeria.

“For a long time, I did not accept that fact, it was like a joke. The diagnosis was late, he did tests in Nigeria, We thought it was malaria but I don’t want to get into all that.” He said refusing to go into details.

It’s been two years since Sound Sultan passed away but from this interview, clearly Tuface is still moved by his death.
