4 reasons you’re having your period twice in one month

As a lady has this ever happened to you? getting to see your your menstrual flow twice in a month? Surprising right!? It’s not just a mere inconvenience; it can be sign from your body saying, “something is wrong please go for check up.”

Below are four reasons why you’re having your period twice in a month.

1. Stress

Look here our bodies are very sensitive to stress, and it can affect and changes the way our Body works especially our menstrual cycle. Stress can trigger the release of stress hormones like cortisol, which can potentially lead to hormonal imbalances. This imbalance can speed up or slow down your menstrual cycle, causing periods to appear more frequently.

2. Birth control adjustments

changing birth control methods or even begining or ending birth control can resort to hormonal fluctuations. These adjustments can disrupt your regular cycle, leading  to an unexpected visitor at the end of the month.

3. Underlying health conditions

Different health conditions such as thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), or uterine fibroids can impact your menstrual cycle. These conditions affect your hormones and can lead to irregular periods, such as having to see your menstrual flow twice in a month.

4. Weight fluctuations

Changes in your body weight can affect your menstrual cycle. Both in loosing weight and gaining can result to hormonal changes that might lead to irregular periods. It’s all about how to balance your body, and trying to find its equilibrium.
