Drake loses over N600m betting on Israel Adesanya

Aubrey Drake Graham  known proffesionally as Drake, according to reports, staked CA$2,000,000 on the Nigerian mixed martial artist Israel Adesanya, hoping to get a win of CA$2,900,000, but it didn’t go as he expected as Adesanya was knocked out few minutes to the end of the contest.

The ‘God’s Plan’ crooner has lost another “bet worth $2 million by backing Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira on Sunday morning.

Adesanya had led 3-1 going into the final round, but Pereira with clear instructions from his corner to knock out the ‘Last Stylebender’ did just that to hand him his first defeat in the category and third to the Brazilian.

The hip-hop artist has a long history of betting on UFC fights, The Canadian rapper’s first public bet in the American mixed martial arts came back in March where he staked an incredible £232,000 ($275,000) on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington, but Covington resoundingly beat his competitor.

Not limited to betting only on UFC, Drake recently lost £537,000 as he had placed a bet on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in October’s El Clasico. However, Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners that time.”
