Early Life & Education
Cassper Nyovest was born and raised in Montshiwa, Mafikeng, Northwest, South Africa.
He had his high school education at Sol Pleatje secondary school but eventually dropped out. He failed his exam and immediately moved to his grandmother’s house in Potchefstroom.
Career
Cassper Nyovest’s musical career began when he relocated back to Johannesburg, before he dropped out of school, Casper was first signed by the Motswako label “Impact sounds” and he left the label after two years without a release.
Later on, Motswako rapper HHP spotted Nyovest at a performance and while impressed by what he saw, HHP featured him on his song “Wamo tsuba Mtho” off his seventh studio album Dumelo.
Cassper Nyovest started out professionally as he embarked on an international tour with HHP where he gained more exposure.
Nyovest has also shared the stage with international stars such as Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Talib Kweli, Kid Cudi, Whiz Khalifa, and many others.
Cassper Nyovest has three albums to his name including Tsholefelo (2014), Refiloe (2015), and Thuto (2017).
