Thugs invade INEC office in Abia State 

Thugs reportedly invaded the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

This was contained in a statement by tge Commission via it official Twitter page on Sunday.

The post read, “Thugs have invaded our Obingwa Local Government Area office in Abia State. Security agencies have been alerted. The Commission is monitoring the situation and will issue a statement shortly.”

Wakadaily gathered that the Labour Party governorship candidate in the state, Dr Alex Otti, emerged winner at the just concluded governorship elections held on Saturday, March 18.

Otti floored Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s brother,  candidate of Action Peoples Party, APP, Mascot Uzor Kalu . He polled 9,886 votes while PDP scored 3410.
