Jubilation as Ekiti chef, Damilola Adeparusi surpasses Hilda Baci’s 100-hour record

Ekiti-based Chef, Damilola Adeparusi has now surpassed Hilda Baci’s 100-hour cooking time for the Guinness World Records.

Chef Damilola Adeparusi announced her new feet via her Instagram page on Tuesday.

Hilda Baci, who is the current record holder for the longest cooking marathon individual category, surpassed the world cooking record of 87 hours 45 minutes previously set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019.

Wakadaily gathered that Dami Adeparusi began cooking at 12am last Friday with a target of 120 hours.

Chef Dami who is a 300-level FUOYE student attempt has sparked different reactions from social media users, many encouraged her while some criticized her for attempting to break Hilda Baci’s record.

Damilola Adeparusi has caught the attention of a Nigerian doctor Ayo Arojo who gifted her N500,000 and a two-week cooking tour to the United States.

Arojo wrote on his Facebook page, “Chef Dammy will be invited for a two-week cooking tour in the United States. I can’t wait for her to start the process! Let us continue to support her.”

Also, wife of the governor of Ekiti State Olayemi Oyebanji took to social media to celebrate Adeparusi.
