Award-winning actress, Yvonne Nelson has revealed how she found out her ex-boyfriend, Nigerian Afropop singer, Iyanya was cheating on her with actress, Tonto Dikeh.

The Ghanaian actress made this known in her memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ released on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

In a chapter titled “Iyanya and My Love Life”, Yvonne said she thought the singer’s gesture of tattooing her initials “YN” on his waist and giving her a shoutout on his hit song ‘Ur Waist’ was an assurance that they could be together forever.

She said: “We had a decent relationship breakfast in bed and all the niceties of a dream relationship one could think of. I had the assurance that he was someone I could be with forever. He tattoed my initials, YN, on his wrist, and I thought that was a big deal. If he wasn’t serious about it he wouldn’t do that. In his song, “Ur Waist”, he mentioned how he lusted over me”.

The mother of one said she was shocked when someone called her from Iyanya’s house after she returned to Ghana and broke the shocking news to her.

“One can therefore imagine my shock when I returned to Ghana after one of my visits to Nigeria and someone called me from his house. The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress came over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that something was going on between them and thought I should know. That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria, one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song. When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, I was heartbroken,” the book read.

She was convinced when she had gone to Twitter and Tonto responding to her with, “People changed and so did feelings, so move on”.

Recall that Nigerian singer, Iyanya and Yvonne Nelson began dating in 2012, but the duo ended the relationship in 2015, after 3 years.
