‘Govt of renewed shege’ – Sowore slams Tinubu over N8,000 cash palliatives

Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, in the last February 25th election, Omoyele Sowore has slammed president Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The human rights activist described Tinubu’s administration as a government of ‘renewed shege’.

The AAC standard bearer made the remark while reacting to Tinubu’s promise to give N8,000 cash palliatives to 12 million Nigeria in six months.

Wakadaily reports that Tinubu in a letter written to the House of Representatives said, about 18 million households will get N8,000 over a period of six months to lessen the suffering that Nigerians are experiencing as a result of subsidy removal.

In order to ascertain the credibility of the process, he said digital transfers would be made directly to beneficiaries’ accounts.”

Reacting to it, Sowore via his Twitter page on Friday wrote: “The govt of #RenewedShege! So, @officialABAT is going to provide palliative of N53 per day for 6 months?

“Jokes carried too far! These guys don’t rate Nigerians! #Revolutionnow.”
