Serena Willam and Alexis Ohanian welcome their second child together.
The couple confirmed this news with an Instagram post on Tuesday announcing the arrival of their baby.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” Ohanian posted on Instagram.
“I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. Serena Williams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced Olympia Ohanian to her baby sister.”
This is the power couple’s second child and second daughter.
Serena Williams successfully won 23 Grand Slam singles titles during her career that transcended her sport, she revealed at the Met Gala in May that she was expecting a baby after having her first child, Olympia in 2017.
The star athlete told the world in August 2022 that she was preparing to end her career, and noted that the desire to grow her family is one of the reasons why she was quitting tennis.
