Nigerian fast-raising star Ayra Starr took a trip down memory lane as she recounts how she sold vegetables and fruits with her grandmother.

Ayra Starr made this known on her Instagram story, as she highlighted her early humble beginning before stardom.

In the Instagram story the singer unveiled a private side of her life. She posted a picture that had a women under an umbrella selling various items, accompanied by a caption that indicated this used to be her life six years ago. In her revelation, she stated that she once assisted her grandmother in selling fruits and vegetables. She also noted how she used to offer her voice to serenade potential customers while they went about their purchases.

The fast-rising singer was recently in the news for calling out Headies Award for not putting much values on the best female artist category as they do for the male category.

She noted how she wasn’t thrilled for winning a category they didn’t find it worth awarding on stage on the Award night.
