Gunmen invade lawmaker’s home, kidnap wife, 2 children in Kwara

Gunmen invade Hon Lawal Ayanshola Soliu home, the lawmaker representing Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru of Moro Local Government in the Kwara State House of Assembly and kidnapped his wife and two children.

Wakadaily learnt that the criminal elements stormed the residence of the lawmaker around 1:00 am on Monday shooting sporadically into the air, scaring neighbours away before whisking the victims away.

Source said, “one of the kidnappers who contacted the family said he was not yet with his colleagues in the forest to harmonise their price”.

The lawmaker however, have not said anything regarding the incident as the whereabouts of his wife and children remained unknown.

The spokesperson of the Kwara state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident said, “Details are still sketchy but I will get back as soon as we have comprehensive details of the incident”.
