A woman and her three children, including a six-month-old baby have been kidnapped by bandits along the Zone 5 segment of the Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation Estate along Arab Road in the Federal Capital Territory.

Residents said the bandits stormed the community on Sunday night between 7pm and 9pm shooting indiscriminately and causing pandemonium in the area.

Mr Francis Bobai said the woman and her children who were kidnapped was the 5th in a row without security intervention.

He said, “This is the fifth time kidnappers are attacking with no action from the government.”

Another resident said, “This kidnapping has become a regular occurrence here every December. If you remember very well, last December, The PUNCH reported a similar incident of abduction in the area, now this is another one, and it is worrisome.”

Also speaking, another resident said the frequent kidnapping is due to lack of security in the area.

“This kidnapping is due to a lack of adequate security in the area. Last night they kidnapped a whole family – a mother and her three children, including a six months old baby here at Zone 5, Kubwa Extension 2 Relocation estate.”

When contacted, FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Josephine Adeh, promised to investigate the development and get back to reporter.
