Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe replied a fans who criticized his fake Igbo accent in movies in a very classical way.
The fast-rising actor, who won the praises of many with his accent in the billion naira movie, A Tribe Called Judah, had been criticized by a female fan, who is also Igbo. The lady slammed him over his accent which she considers him to be overfaking it and off-putting.
“Your “igbotic” accent was too much that it became too fake and off-putting.
From an Igbo girl to you, our brothers don’t sound like that. You overdid it”.
The actor replying to her tendered an apology as he stated that he didn’t mean to overdo. What made his apology funny is that the actor replied her with the fake igbotic accent, while telling her not to be angry.
He wrote, “I aporogize. I didn’t mean to overdo it. Nwanne Biko don’t be angly”.
