Nigeria Football Federation mourns ex-Falconets keeper Aluko-Olaseni

The Nigeria Football Federation commiserated with Nigerians following the demise of Former Goalkeeper for the Nigeria women national football team. Also known as ‘Falconets’.

Bidemi Olaseni, was diagnosed with  cancer for over eight years, sadly she gave up the ghost on Friday evening, March 1st, 2024.

“We are very sad to hear of the demise of Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni. It is disheartening to hear of the passing of such a young woman.

“She had been ill for some years now, but we were hoping and praying she would recover and still be able to pursue her passion and dream.

“The NFF and the Nigerian football family are grieved by her death. However, we are happy that she took her passion and dream to a certain level.

“Our prayer is that God grants her eternal rest and also grant those she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss,” NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said on Monday.

The 32-year old Goalkeeper has featured for prominent clubs in the country, among them Sunshine Queens, Ekiti Babes and Rivers Angels.
