Kyari speaks on energy transition at US summit

Mallam Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, and other officials of the NNPCL will participate in the CERAWeek Conference scheduled to hold in Houston, United States from March 18 to 22, 2024.

According to the NNPCL statement, Olufemi Soneye, revealed that Kyari will summon a meeting session titled ‘ Leadership Dialogue’ at the yearly conference on Tuesday.

Soneye also stressed that the NNPCL’s Executive Vice president, Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan would headline a meeting session titled ‘What are the Choices for Upstream Strategies?’, same day.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, it will be the turn of the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye, who will be a panelist on a strategic dialogue session titled ‘Africa’s Energy Future: Access, Investment & Sustainability’, he added.

CERAWeek is a yearly energy conference, drawing foremost global energy industry experts and a guest of other corporate and government leaders from all over the world to Houston, United States, for a week-long conversation on the future of energy.

The conference was organized by S&P Global and was developed in years to accommodate new energy technologies and climate issues.

The conference is expected to have participants from 90 countries and will feature 1,400 speakers in 2024.

Under the theme, ‘Multidimensional Energy Transition: Markets, Climate, Technology and Geopolitics’, the CERAWeek 2024 will explore “strategies for a multidimensional, multispeed and multifuel energy transition,” as the global energy industry tries to respond to, and offer insight into roadmap towards, growing demand for emissions reductions and moving towards cleaner forms of energy.
