First lady marks world autism day, seeks early diagnosis, inclusivity

Early identification and intervention for those with autism are imperative, as stated by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.

On Tuesday, in honor of World Autism Awareness Day, she revealed in a statement.

In her remarks, she acknowledged the difficulties families with loved ones with autism endure and praised them for their commitment and affection.

The statement read, “As we mark World Autism Awareness Day, I celebrate the unique strengths and creativity of individuals with the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

“The journey for families with loved ones who are autistic can be challenging. Today, I salute and celebrate their unwavering love and dedication.

“I also recognise the crucial role of community organisations in providing support, resources, and opportunities for individuals with Autism and their families.

“Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial to ensure individuals with autism reach their full potential. I urge parents and caregivers to be attentive to developmental milestones and seek professional help if any concerns arise.”

In addition, Mrs. Tinubu advocated for a society in which each person is respected for their individual talents, empowered, and included despite facing difficulties.

The Ferdinand Effah Music Heritage Foundation has advocated for all-inclusive development to support the health and well-being of those with autism, according to reports gathered.
