Bauchi Govt approves payment of N10,000 sallah allowance to civil servants

The immediate payment of N10,000 to all categories of civil servants in the state’s local and state government regions has been ordered by Governor Bala Mohamed of Bauchi State.

It was established that the wage award represents the governor’s “kindness” in allowing the workers to joyfully celebrate Sallah, particularly in light of the present financial difficulties.

The approval is intended to allow the employees to enjoy a happy holiday, as stated in a statement made by Mohammed Sani Umar, the Permanent Secretary of Establishments, on behalf of the State’s Head of Civil Service.

The statement read in parts: “the wage award is a benevolence of the governor to enable the workers to celebrate Sallah in high spirits in the wake of current economic hardship.”

The head of civil service praised the governor for the gesture and other forms of support given to employees, and he asked them to increase efforts aimed at consolidating the accomplishments realized thus far by the current government and to return the favor by working hard and dedicating themselves to their jobs.

Umar noted further, “the workers are to reciprocate the gesture through hard work and dedication to their duties and to improve efforts to consolidate the gains made so far by the present administration.”
