Minister lauds FG over decisive action on East-West road

The Niger Delta Affairs Minister, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, has lauded the federal government for acting quickly to address the terrible East-West Road stretch in the Niger Delta.

He gave a speech during the National Council on Niger Delta conference that took place in Asaba, Delta State.

Momoh underscored the government’s dedication to tackling the obstacles encountered by the Niger Delta area.

As the highest advisory body to the ministry, the council focuses on developing and implementing policies that enhance the socioeconomic well-being of the people living in the Niger Delta.

Momoh was pleased with the cooperation with the Ministry of Works, which led to an expeditious intervention on the East-West Road, according to his speech. In particular, he observed notable advancements on a particular stretch of the road from Onne to Eleme Junction.

“This development underscores the federal government’s determination to promptly tackle issues affecting the Niger Delta region,” Momoh stated.

In addition, initiatives are being made to improve coordination mechanisms so that the area can accomplish its goals. According to the presidential charge, one such endeavor entails combining all growth goals into a unified strategy.

“This initiative aims to foster shared purpose, streamline resource allocation, and enhance transparency and accountability among stakeholders in the Niger Delta region,” Momoh elaborated.
