ASUU Strike: Nigerians reacts over Wike son’s graduation from UK

Jordan Nyesom-Wike, first son of the Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike, has completed his tertiary education in the United Kingdom, most Nigerians on social media express displeasure due to the current Strike by the Academic Staff Union of University ASUU, in the country.

Governor Wike’s son graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Law from the University of Exteter in the UK.

Reacting to the news on Facebook, @Oyis said “Stealing public treasury to Send ur children to school abroad is the highest achievement Nigerian politicians has achieved so far, so it doesn’t concerned them if the universities in their country is working or not if students in their States re going to school or not in as much as their children re not the victims they create for the poor cases.”

Another Facebook user Hard, said, “From a man who accused Amaechi of wasting money for Oversea’s students. God will judge all of these politicians. Wike literally sent RSSDA students back to Nigeria for his selfish reason.”

Another user Bright, said, “You dey house, Asuu strike never agree you finish one level for the past 2 years. Yet you’re sending congratulations to the same set of people that kept you under.
Shey, graduation na only them and their pikin e fit abi? Make una continue.
Even ikpeazu that has kept Abia people in a worst condition is with them and you’re sending congratulations. Una mumu never do.”

Wakadaily gathered that ASUU has been on strike since February 14, 2022, report has it that the government has failed to meet some lingering demands of the Union.
