Nigerians have uncovered old social media posts from the popular Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, in which he praised Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records.
Earlier today, Wizkid caused a stir on the internet with his controversial tweets, which were triggered by an annoying request from a Twitter user.
The singer, who admitted to having a tendency to speak impulsively, responded to those asking for a new song from him by using a viral controversial video featuring his rival, Davido.
Wizkid also indirectly criticized Don Jazzy after one of his record artists, Ladipoe, made a negative comment about him.The Pakurumo star referred to the Mavin Records CEO as an influencer.
These tweets from Wizkid have sparked outrage among Nigerians, who have threatened to cancel him and are demanding an apology.
As a result, Nigerians have uncovered an old tweet from Wizkid in which he wished Don Jazzy a happy birthday and expressed his admiration for him.
“Happy Birthday to a boss and some1 I look up to @DONJAZZY!!!! bless you sir!” Wizkid wrote in 2011.
In addition, there is another video in which the singer is seen enjoying a burger from a food outlet owned by Don Jazzy. There is also another video in which Wizkid confesses how Don Jazzy helped and accommodated him.
