It was confirmed that the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) will undergo a four-day prayer and fasting programme after the numerous sad events, unleashing itself in the Nollywood movie industry today, May 2.
Remember that the guild’s president had announced a four-day fasting and prayer after actor Junior Pope and four others died in a boat accident.
The flyer, which was posted online, revealed Pastor Jerry Eze of of Streams of Joy International Church, was the special guest to lead the spiritual exercise.
On Wednesday, May 1, the guild, in a post via its social media handle, shared a schedule on how the spiritual exercise would be done.
Nollywood stars Desmond Elliot, Susan Peters, and Patience Ozokwor were mentioned among those that were to lead on the opening prayer on various days days. Different prayer points for a particular day were also included on the schedule, and some of them were supplications about love in the industry. Another prayer point read: “God should expose the root of all these premature deaths.’ displaying the schedule online, AGN president Emeka Rollas wrote in a caption:
“JONAH CHAPTER 3 VERSE 7 I make this declaration this day that all Actors shall fast and pray! Connect to the zoom link from tomorrow. AGN PRAYS WITH PASTOR JERRY EZE is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.”
The programme is expected to start by noon on Thursday, May 2.
Recall that it was reported that Emeka Rollas, AGN president, stirred emotions online following his condolence visit to the family of late Junior Pope. A trending video saw Emeka talking to the bereaved family, but some fault finder’s fans noticed the absence of Junior Pope’s wife and his three sons.
Questions were being thrown regarding her whereabouts in the comments.
