Judith Iwu advises her colleagues to stop slamming each other

Actress Judith Iwu has expressed her opinion on the ongoing feud between her fellow Nollywood actresses Angela Okorie and Mercy Johnson-Okojie, deeming it unnecessary and distasteful.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie became popular after Okorie, and her childhood friend Ify accused her of practicing witchcraft during the weekend, demanding that she appear before the Actors Guild of Nigeria to prove the allegations.

Yvonne Jegede, a colleague of the star actress, caused a stir among fans and Nollywood enthusiasts when she made allegations about the actress having a reputation for being challenging and unprofessional in the workplace.

During an interview with BlueFlames Media, Iwu expressed her disapproval of the dispute between the actresses, considering it to be both disgusting and meaningless.

She emphasized that Mercy is not only a respected colleague but also a kind-hearted person she has known for a significant period of time.

Recognizing Okorie as a highly respected personality in her own right, Iwu, who originates from Imo State, questioned why Okorie would stoop to such a low level, highlighting that this situation reflects poorly on the reputation of Nollywood.

The fight between Mercy Johnson and Angela Okorie is highly distasteful and unnecessary. Mercy is a senior colleague that I have known and worked with; she’s a sweet soul and a very talented actress,”she said.

The thespian urged Nollywood professionals to collaborate and set a positive example, acknowledging that the industry consists of individuals with diverse talents and backgrounds, which naturally leads to rivalry and negative competition.

She emphasized that even close family members argue, highlighting that Nollywood is not exempt from this.

Iwu, who received praise for her performance in Priceless Woman, noticed that certain malicious individuals had entered the Nollywood industry with the intention of causing harm.

She requested prayers for the professionals in the industry. She explained that the recent deaths in the movie industry had deeply affected Nigerians, causing them to become highly emotional, and as a result, they may act in unpredictable ways.

Iwu also expressed her aspiration to collaborate with renowned Hollywood actors such as Brad Pitt, Vin Diesel, Idris Elba, and Terrence Howard in the near future.

She admires their exceptional performances on screen, which leave her in awe.

At present, while being at a specific place, the actress encouraged her followers to remain loyal to her as she shared that she was involved in a new venture – a film that would leave them astounded when it is released.

Iwu has become famous for her exceptional acting skills in various films.

She rose to fame after her notable role in House of Trouble, and continued to impress audiences with her performances in movies like Nicest Gift to Men and Typhoid Typhoid and Malaria.

Recently, she received the prestigious International Media Personality Certificate, recognizing her as an exemplary role model for millions of people worldwide.

This esteemed award was presented to her by John Terrence Media Ltd, in collaboration with the International Kingdom University, located in the United States of America.
