Actor Nosa Rex and movie Director clash on set for ordering him to dive into a river

Nosa Rex, a popular Nollywood actor and content creator, engaged in a heated dispute with a film director after being instructed to jump into a river.

The movie director uploaded a video on his Instagram account where he instructed the actor to jump into a river and find valuable items.

Baba Rex expressed surprise as this was not part of the script, but the director claimed to have come up with the idea spontaneously.

This led to a heated argument between the two, and Nosa challenged the director to go first before he would consider doing the same.

In the caption, Nosa emphasized that he would never dive into a river, regardless of being offered N20 million.

“OGA director even if you give me 20M. I will not dive into the river sir.
I don’t need Abuja treasure sir”

Here are some comments below,

Nkechi Blessing’s boyfriend, XXssive commented, “Una no carry Fanta go?

Nkechi Blessing commented, “Una give the water the script too? Osi dive in, wa gbeeee ooo”.

Etinosa Idemudia commented, “Director you go shout action tire”.

Eve Esin commented, “Did the water read the script?

Angela Aguavoen commented, “I kuku trust my brother”.

Susan Peters commented, “Na added scene”.

Queeneth Hilbert commented, “My belle ooo”.

Oge Okoye commented, “Lol”.

Jide Awobona commented, “Small thing, Rex made me proud, ain’t you a professional actor”.

Comedian Efe Warri commented, “This director get plan”.

Remember that Junior Pope, a colleague of Baba Rex, tragically died by drowning in the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie set on April 8th.

In May, the actor was finally laid to rest in his hometown of Ukehe, Enugu State, with several celebrities including Destiny Etiko, KCee, E-Money, Zubby Michael, Benson Okonkwo, Chinwe Owoh, Rita Edochie, Uche Nnanna, Queen Wokoma, Ruby Ojiakor, and others in attendance.

After his death, the Actors Guild of Nigeria implemented a ban on shooting movies near riverine areas and suspended the use of boats in movies.

Many celebrities expressed their thoughts on the actor’s death, highlighting how it could have been prevented if Nollywood had a better structure.

Yvonne Jegede emphasized the importance of wearing a life jacket and criticized Nollywood producers for not doing enough. She urged movie producers to improve their work or quit the industry.

Ini Edo echoed similar sentiments, slamming the poor structure of the industry and the lack of regulation.

She mourned the actor’s death, considering it a sacrifice to bring attention to the need for better regulation and structure in the industry to ensure the safety of everyone involved in production.

Sarah Martins, a rising actress, blasted Adanma for her careless actions that resulted in the loss of lives.

She slammed Adanma’s movie, saying it was a low-budget production that aimed to improve local standards but failed to provide essential resources.

On the other hand, Jide Awobona defended Adanma Luke, arguing that anyone could have experienced such a tragic event.

He explained that in the Nollywood industry, if someone refuses to comply with certain demands, they are often labeled as difficult and unprofessional.
