Denrele dismissed the idea, telling the user to let go of the outdated narrative, especially in this new year, 2024. He then took the opportunity to remind the user of his impressive accomplishments and numerous titles, reasserting his prominence and expertise in his field.
In April, as Denrele Edun approached his 30-year milestone in the entertainment industry, he reflected on the challenges he faced in the past. He remembered how a prominent DJ’s wife discriminated against him, assuming he had AIDS, and instructed his designer to avoid working with him and even keep him away from her children.
Denrele has been subjected to hurtful labels, including being called anorexic, malnourished, and HIV-positive. However, he has since overcome these struggles and is now thriving, gaining weight and finding beauty in his growth. Earlier this year, Denrele shared his rags-to-riches story, revealing his humble beginnings as a cage dancer at the African Shrine and his determination to succeed while still in university.
On Mother’s Day, he honored his mother’s sacrifices, recounting how she worked multiple jobs in Lagos to provide for him and his siblings. He also opened up about the difficult experiences he faced after moving into their family home.
