Murphy Afolabi was born and raised in Oroki Asale In Osun State where he was hail from. He was one of seven children from his parents.

Murphy pursued his education in Osun State, he attended Ansar-u-deen Islamic Boys Junior and Senior Secondary High School. Later, he obtained a Diploma in Theatre Arts and Film Production from Osun State Polytechnic in Iree in 2001.
