Ini Edo was born on 23 April 1982 in the city of Akwa Ibom state located in the south-south part of Nigeria, and she is an Ibibio by the tribe.
Ini Edo was born and brought up by devoted Christian parents. Her father was a church elder while her mother was a teacher, she is the second child from a family of five children three girls, and one boy.
She had her secondary school education at Cornelia Connely College in Uyo, Nigeria. She graduated from the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts.
She also completed her bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calabar where she studied English In 2014 she got a scholarship to study law at the National Open University of Nigeria.
