AY, a famous Nollywood actor and stand-up comedian, has fearlessly celebrated the 16th birthday of his biggest rival and colleague, Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth.
Recently, Basketmouth proudly shared photos of himself and his son, showcasing his growth into his teenage years, as a way to honor and welcome him into this special milestone.
As a father of four, Basketmouth declared today as a public holiday for his son, emphasizing that his firstborn is his utmost priority and holds immense significance in his life.
Basketmouth wrote, “On this day, 16yrs ago…a king was born. In actual fact, May 9th should be declared a public holiday. Hold on let me talk to the Federal Government. This is totally wrong.
Happy Birthday Jason, you’re my everything! Wishing you a happy and memorable birthday. Love you son.”
Ayo Makun boldly followed the same action. He went to Basketmouth’s social media page to honor his son.
The father of two expressed his wishes for Jason’s happiness on his birthday and prayed that God’s grace would continue to guide him towards a future filled with satisfaction.
“Happy birthday, Jason . May God’s grace continue to light your path, guiding you towards a future filled with success and contentment.”
Basketmouth and AY have a well-known rivalry. Ayo Makun, better known as AY, revealed in 2006 that there was an incident that caused their beef.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, AY explained that the drama started at Basketmouth’s wedding and continued with him being excluded from any show that Basketmouth was a part of.
However, Basketmouth, in a podcast with the Honest Bunch crew, claimed that he never had a close or personal relationship with AY.
He said that he only came in contact with AY through Ali Baba, a popular comedian, and that he never mentored him.
Basketmouth also hinted at something else happening between him and AY, but he did not disclose the details.
He accused AY of using lies about their feud to promote his upcoming show, stating that it is a common tactic for him.
