A-Reece was born on March 27 1997 in Pretoria, Gauteng where he was raised alongside his older brother Phologo Jody Mataboge famously known as Jay Jody.
He originally hails from Pretoria, Gauteng.
Career
A-Reece started his musical career in early as back in primary school when he began writing and composing music while following the footsteps of his elder brother Phologo Jody Mataboge famously known as Jay Jody who is hip hop duo B3nchMarQ.
A-Reece got his stage name A-Reece from his star sign Aries.
In 2014, he released the single “Casper Picture” inspired by the life of the South African rapper and producer Cassper Nyovest. He was signed to Raw X productions at the age of 16 by a South African producer, PH Raw.
