Achraf Hakimi Mouh was born on November 4, 1998, in Madrid, Spain, to Moroccan parents.
He was raised alongside his two siblings Nabil Hakimi and Ouidad Hakimi.
Achraf is both Moroccan and Spanish by nationality.
Career
Achraf Hakimi began his football career at the youth level with Colonia Ofigevi and went through Real Madrid’s youth academy.
He started playing for Real Madrid Castilla in 2016 and was promoted to the first team in 2017.
He went on a two-year loan to the German club Borussia Dortmund, on July 11, 2018. He scored his first goal for the clubbing a 7-0 win against 1. FC Number on September 27, 2018.
He signed a five-year contract with the Italian club Inter Milan for a reported fee of €40 million on July 2, 2020. He made his debut for the club in a 4-3 victory against Fiorentina on September 26, 2020, and scored his first goal in the subsequent match, which ended a 5-2 win over Benevento.
He joined Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year deal, for a reported fee of €60 million on July 6, 2021. He scored his first goal for the club against Troyes.
Hakimi represented Morocco at the under-17, under-20, and under-23 levels before he was called up to the senior team. He was named in n the Moroccan squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and was called up for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where he scored in a 2-2 draw with Gabon.
