Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo popularly known as Omoborty opens up on the dirt going on in the movie industry.
The Yoruba actress who is a single mother of two has revealed how some of her colleagues are been blacklisted from getting movie roles because they refused to compromise their principles for influential figures.
She went on to disclose that some of them have had their kids sent home from school because they couldn’t afford to pay their fees due to not being offered jobs.
She however thank God for his grace as many of them are able to overcome the challenges and now have freedom to choose if they still want to act or not.
“Hmmm, shall we discuss the subtle blackl!sting, where certain individuals were excluded from movie roles simply because they refused to compromise their principles with influential figures? Some of us experienced the embarrassment of having our children sent home from school back then because we weren’t being offered work and couldn’t pay school fees.
But by the Grace of God, we’ve overcome those challenges. Now, we have the freedom to choose if we still want to act or not.
Because movie making no longer dictates our livelihood or pays our bills”.
The actress made this post in agreement with her colleague Nkechi Blessing’s outburst about some of their colleagues who badmouth others to producers and directors in the movie industry.
Nkechi Blessing noted how such people deny their colleagues, with whom they have personal beef, opportunities to star in movies by badmouthing them to movie producers and directors.
She went on to remind them that their days will be over soon.
