Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has allegedly deflected to join the All Progress Congress (APC).
The River State-born actress has decamped from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which she had run for River State deputy governor under, at the just concluded 2023 general to join the ruling party APC.
Tonto Dikeh and and her principal, Tonte Ibraye, lost the election to Siminialayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the ruling party in the state.
Many had thought the actress would exist the scene of politics with the loss but the actress has proven otherwise with this new development of joining the ruling party.
According to The Nations, Tonto Dikeh will be official be officially unveiled as a member of the All Progress Congress (APC), by the APC National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile, later today at the national secretariat in Abuja.
Tonto Dikeh since her divorce from ex-husband Churchill has strived to attain a height in the political structure of the country, her marriage with Churchill was blessed with a son.
The actress had found love again, but the relationship had once again ended on a sad note.
