ADC 2023: Tonto Dikeh emerges as Rivers gov’ship running mate

Popular Nollywood star, Tonto Dikeh, has been nominated as the running mate to Tonte Ibraye, for the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State.

WAKADAILY gathered that, Mr Ibraye won the ADC governorship ticket during the primary elections in early June.

Ibraye said, “After a series of consultations with leaders of our party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State and the national level, I’m glad to announce Ambassador Tonto Dikeh as my running mate for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State.

Tonto confirmed the nomination via her twitter Page, assuring the people that they are looking forward to invest in social protection if elected.

She said, “I thank Mr Tonte Ibraye (@TonteIbraye), the Governorship candidate for ADC, Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate. We are looking at investing in social protection, creating social value system & increased women inclusion in governance.”

She also urged Rivers people to get their permanent voters card (PVC) to ensure they cast their vote during the election.
